Ayahtolla and other despots around the world who have no concept of freedom but simply want the wealth in this country...

Everyone wants the wealth in this country, that's for sure.

But those you mention don't need the World Court to pick our pockets.

Our Beltway crowd merrily sends them millions, and writes laws that ensures billions in petrodollars go their way ...

The World Court is a tricky issue. If you are suspicous of the all-powerful central Bush-controlled US government, you might think they might want to avoid a WC indictment for war crimes, as an unpleasant event.

OTOH, if you are concerned about a One-World government that Bush Senior talks about eliptically, you might be on the same side of that issue, and not want a World Court that is controlled by a Bush Inc. type of cabal (w. John Majors and the Carlyle Group providing nominees, a la Enron and US energy policy, but on an international scale).

How about instead of a World Court, a World Investigative Body that can subpoena people but not hand down sentences ... Something to recreate the FOIA on an international scale, if we're lucky, outside the immediate control of the Beltway and warlords.

My belief is that "the truth shall set you free" is a systems engineering theorem, that applies to social systems' becoming healthy and warding off pathological infection. Once truth is known, citizens of these countries will tend to do the right thing.
