Yes, these are all good points. The fact that PE, and I would say Growth as well, show marginal or little correlation with stock prices (particulary in the short term) shows up every week on the tables that are posted on the thread. Gains or losses of the individual stocks in the Group show wide variations each week, but relate very loosely, if at all to the individual PEs.

Recently, over the past several months, the earnings estimates have not changed very much on a percentage basis compared to the stock prices. A little bit of this situation can be seen by looking at the 5 week comparison of earnings estimate changes posted this weekend for both the Group and the SOX. I almost did not post the data because of an overall lack of movement in the individual stocks as well as the bottom line. The stock prices, however, in many cases, made some pretty large moves.
