In the current environment it's one more thing that "if we want it done right we'll have to do it ourselves ..." <vbg> That's if you believe as some do that Washington isn't our friend, doesn't represent the citizenry and hasn't for decades, and that we're on our own more than we'd like to believe. However, these so-called "leaders" will inevitably self-destruct if the big teat of US milk-money is cut off. No spec ops needed (as much adrenaline-pumping fun as that might be for those somehow still so inclined after decades of misuse). They'll just sink out of sight. The only thing keeping them afloat is US petrodollars, corrupt US officials and military meddling. Its the habit of the mil-ind complex to set up problems to solve, its only the ecology of a self-determined division of labor: Q: What does the military build?
