Dan3: Some notebook manufacturers have gone as far as to predict that notebook ASPs could contract to around US$1,000 in the second half, almost equivalent to that of a high-end desktop equipped with an LCD monitor.

With memory prices the way they are and LCDs actually increasing in price, I don't see how notebook ASPs could drop significantly (without serious changes in consumer preferences).
