A few years back when Barbara Walters visited Afghanistan, she noticed that women always walked behind their husbands. She wondered why, and she was told that was how Islam was and how a woman's place should be behind a man with the man being the provider, etc. In essence the spin for oppressing the women were on the notion of men being the providers according to Quran, etc. About a couple of months ago she visited Afghanistan again, and she noticed that women now walk ahead of their husbands! She was thrilled of the progress made after the Taliban! She showed her exuberant to one of the women and she was told: "Well.. we are walking in front of our husband because there are mines and hidden bombs!"! Apparently and again according to Islamic laws men are the ones who need to be protected at all costs since they are the providers!! Watch Barbara Walters special coming soon. I hear it is quite an interesting take on Islam!! One thing I have always wondered about Muslim men (or men in general who tend to oppress women) is the following theory: The reasons behind oppressing women have their roots in the fact that men know how and where they came to this world (i.e. via a woman's vagina)! And perhaps this is where the problem is and has caused so many inferiority complex for men (and especially for Muslim men)!! And considering Islam, and Quran's fascination with matters having to do with sex, women (and oppression of women) I think this theory is already proven without the shadow of any doubts! Regards,

Colleen, If you are in the war, you need to take away the others guys major weapons. That helps you win! Well, alternative energy sources must be considered immediately, after a statement like this.... "Iran and Libya have announced support for using oil as a weapon, but have taken no action." Hard-Liners Applaud Saddam Oil Cut Mon Apr 8, 2:40 PM ET story.news.yahoo.com Enough is enough.... Tap Alaska, and while doing so, develop all alternative sources of energy. Take away their major weapon. Then they will have very little leverage against us. And if this country wants to bail everyone else out (for every other reason), why not bail out the oil companies that you end up taking business away from? I mean I disagree with bailing anyone out for the most part. But at least this would free us up from the Muslim grasp. God Bless, IGIT
