Thanks for the info. I did that and Explorer is still acting up. Checking to see if I can re-install just IE now....

My wife's computer has a problem with MS Word. No matter how she tries to open it (from icon, Start menu, double clicking a Word document), the Word popup saying "Microsoft Word Version 6" pops up and then immediately closes. The Word window never opens. No error messages are given. She is running Windows 98. She says she used word last night and it was OK. She exited word using Alt-file, then clicking Exit. She said she shut down the computer properly last night using Shutdown.
