Canadian Price is Set At World Price by the Saskatchewan Wheat board, which sits in Saskatoon. A group of 5 politicians from Ottawa and 5 farmers who are stakeholders decide on prices that year by running a fourier analysis program and predicting the price. This allows them to set grain quotas. It is actually a federal department but since Saksatchewan is supposed to constitutionally control its own resources and things like the wheat board and federal energy program are in fact unconstitutional, they call it the Saskatchewan Wheat Board in order to keep the farmers asleep and not ruffle political feathers. There are farmers in Saskatchewan who when lied to skillfuly by the government actually believe they get the best price from the Canadian government because they control the price, and guarantee a buy with their quotas. They point to the times when production is oversupplied and price falls to remind the farmers that they are better off making some money that year than going broke. They omit to mention that during that time, bread price does not change, grannaries can store wheat and flour for years, and cartels of manufacturers, mills and farmers, or co-ops could do the same thing as the government and still get better prices during drought for wheat farmed under better conditions. The Wheat Board is Canadian Communism dreamed up by prairie populist liberals.

The wheat board has been ripping off Canadian farmers for years. Farmers who have plum quotas and are paid not to grow wheat do not complain. The dumb ones who are not good business men or farmers think monoculture will work, and Canadian prices which are set for a Chinese market, are good., In fact mills in Canada could pay 4 times the present bushel price and still survive. But they cannot get the wheat as the government buys it all as a trade tool and political weapon. Ergo the world price. It's price has scant to do with the price of bread on supermarket shelves. The way to do it is to get in the end to end product business and bake bread, like Quaker and General Mills.

And to top it off the stuff is a pure poison of mouse droppings, butylated hydroxytoluene, 2-4D., DDT and malathion. Not good at all.
