Since you open this wounds, Jordan is but one very fragile king away from being Palestinian too. The Hashemite crown prince is half Palestinian after all, like the majority of the people. And Jordanian are peaceful people, so they are bound to lose their country sometimes.

It was Sharon's view to let the PA have all Jordan back in the late seventies early eighties.(From his memoirs.)

You seem to be advocating that Jordan take the Palestinians (and Egypt, too?) How would that work? Would Israel give the West Bank to Jordan and Gaza to the Egyptians, both complete with Palestinians? Or would Israel keep both pieces of territory but forcibly shove the Palestinians over the borders?

At the time (WWI) France Russia and the UK reshaped the world and invented many countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and many more "stans" Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the Persian Gulf States, Syria, Libanon, Libya Tunisia, Algiers Mauritania and many others from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean, they also designed a Home land for the Jews in the area of what is now Israel and Jordan.

Due to arab protest and unrest the UK decided to shed the East Bank of the Jordan River from the Jewish Homeland to establish a state for the arabs living in those areas (e.g. on both sides of the Jordan River).

The US Congress decision from September 1922 were a Jewish Homeland west of the Jordan River was ratified by US Congress as evidenced in the September 12, 1922 US Congress (Public Resolution No. 73, 67th Congress, Second Session)

U.S. Congress Endorses the Balfour Declaration

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress Assembled.

That the United States of America favors the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which will prejudice the civil and religious rights of Christian and all other non-Jewish communities in Palestine, and that the holy places and religious buildings and sites in Palestine shall be adequately protected. west of the Jordan River was ratified by US Congress as evidenced in the September 12, 1922 US Congress (Public Resolution No. 73, 67th Congress, Second Session)

As such if Kuwait Iraq or Syria etc. has right to it's borders defined at the time so has the Jewish Homeland. There is no place for a Palestinian state on the West Bank of the Jordan River as a Palestinian State already exist on the East Bank of the Jordan River. UKafter WWI decided to nominate a king from the region of Mecca and Medina over that land to rule the arabs of Palestina ....... the Hashemite Family were given the power of king rulers in Trans-Jordan, as there were also were those power given to their cousins to rule in Iraq.

......... but in Bagdad those new Royals were assasinated by Saddam Husein buddies

........... or if contradicted then why not "grab as much as you can rule" should define the borders of every state invented at the time by France Russia and the UK thus resulting and a bloodbath all over Asia and North Africa.

some quotes from the past which may be helpful

Quotes of Arab leaders before the terrorist organization of the PLO gained popularity

"There is no such country as Palestine. 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented. . . . Our country was for centuries part of Syria. 'Palestine' is alien to us. It is the Zionists who introduced it." — Local Arab leader to British Peel Commission,1937

"There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not" — Professor Philip Hitti, Arab historian to Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry, 1946

"It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria." — Ahmed Shukairy, United Nations Security Council, 1956

It is obvious that t he PLO invented the so called "Palestinian" Nation

if not for the British the recent conflict in Israel would not exist

"The country is in a considerable degree empty of inhabitants and therefore its greatest need is of a body of population "— British consul in 1857

Arabs just came to Israel if be being deported from their communities or to find opportunity and work were the Jews settled.

". . . Many Palestinians are descendants of Egyptian, Sudanese, Syrian and Lebanese migrants, who settled in the current boundaries of Israel during 1830-1945. . . . . Migrant workers were imported by the Ottomans and (since 1919) by the British authorities . . . . Illegal Arab laborers were also attracted by the relative boom, stimulated by Jewish immigration, which expanded labor-intensive enterprises (construction, agriculture, etc.).

". . . . The (1831-1840) conquest, by Egypt's Mohammed Ali, was solidified by thousands of Egyptians settling empty spaces between Gaza and Tul-Karem up to the Hula Valley. . . .30,000-36,000 Syrian migrants (Huranis) entered Palestine (in 1934) Syrian rulers have alwaysconsidered the area as a southern province of Greater Syria. Az-ed-Din el-Qassam, the role-model of Hamas terrorism, who terrorized Jews in British Mandate Palestine, was a Syrian, as were Said el-A'az, a leader of the 1936-38 anti-Jewish pogroms and Kaukji, the commander-in-chief of the Arab mercenaries terrorizing Jews in the thirties and forties.

"So far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied until their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population." -- Winston Churchill, 1939

"If we must offend one side, let us offend the Jews rather than the Arabs." -- British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, 1937

"If we must have preferences, let me murmur in your ear that I prefer Arabs to Jews." -- British Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden, 1943

and the PLO is clearly for the destruction of Israel and massacre of the Jews

After signing of the Oslo Accords, Yasser Arafat announced: "This agreement, I am not considering it more than the agreement which had been signed between our Prophet Muhammad and Koraish." [Note: Two years after Muhammad signed the treaty with the tribe of Koraish, he attacked and annihilated it.]

In a speech in Sweden, he promised to: ". . . eliminate the State of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian state. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion. Jews won't want to live among us arabs."

Faisel al-Husseini, scion of one of the most powerful Arab families, and PLO "Minister for Jerusalem" defined the PLO program: "[We will] continue to aspire to the strategic goal: namely, Palestine from the [Jordan] river to the
[Mediterranean] sea. Whatever we get now, cannot make us forget this supreme truth." April 2001

"If we agree to declare our state over . . . the West Bank and Gaza, our ultimate goal is the liberation of all historic
Palestine from the River [Jordan] to the Sea [Mediterranean]. We distinguish the strategic, long-term goals from the political phased goals, which we are compelled to temporarily accept due to international pressure." June 2001

PLO Minister of Communications, 1999: "Our people have hope for the future, that the occupation state [Israel] ceasesto exist."

Jamal Al-Husseini, acting Chairman of the Arab Higher Committee threatened on November 24, 1947 that "Palestine shall be consumed with fire and blood," if the Jews get any part of it.

Will stop with the quotes as they are to numerous.

That might be so, Hawk, if logic had anything to do with the content of Palestinian rants. But then, they know that whatever they suffered under the Jordanians was done to them by fellow Arabs, and nobody cares what Arabs do to each other.
