Thanks for the input on techs KB. I just wrapped up my taxes. I was surprised how much I got whacked by holding smallish "long-term" tech positions last year. If for example a "full position" for you (or me) is 5% of my port. I was sitting on 2-2.5% positions of JDSU, SUNW, ORCL, etc. for long term. Got nipped a little bit each day on those and didn't particularly notice, as other situational stocks were moving up. Now I see the results of the damage when a small position declines 60-70%. Looking a one of my techs for a potential sell here - MRVL. It's still holding the 50DMA with a hammer forming.
