HP Named Preferred Infrastructure Services Provider for Oracle CRM FastForward Flows
Joint Customers to Benefit from Portfolio of HP Services Optimized for Oracle Environments
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 2002-- Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HWP - news) today announced that it has been named the preferred infrastructure services provider for Oracle CRM FastForward Flows -- giving customers the added assurance of accelerating deployment and minimizing risk of customer relationship management (CRM) applications of the Oracle E-Business Suite.

The announcement is the result of HP's successful ongoing service initiatives with Oracle and its CRM offerings, including a tailored version of HP's Rapid IT methodology for Oracle CRM FastForward Flows. Based on this customer-proven methodology, HP Rapid IT for Oracle CRM combines HP consulting services and IT infrastructure products that enable customers to deploy business flows for marketing, sales and services in 90 days or less.

Additionally, the close strategic relationship and resulting cumulative CRM experience of the two companies has made HP the natural choice for providing infrastructure services for Oracle CRM FastForward Flows. Oracle CRM software is developed, tuned and tested on HP servers and, internally, Oracle runs its corporate CRM system on HP servers and uses HP infrastructure to host customer CRM instances. In addition, HP has built and continues to operate the world's largest Oracle CRM implementation.

``When it comes to CRM, customers are looking for proven, complete solutions that deliver quick wins and lasting results,'' said Ray Arndt, general manager, HP Consulting, North America. ``Our extensive experience working with Oracle means that together we can take the most challenging aspect of a CRM project and have a production environment up and running within three months with limited risk.''

``HP is a valued Oracle partner and our preferred infrastructure services partner for accelerated CRM implementations,'' said Mark Barrenechea, senior vice president, Oracle E-Business Suite Market Development, Oracle Corp. ``Their direct experience and understanding of our technology -- when coupled with their infrastructure products and complementary service offerings like the innovative HP Rapid IT methodology -- allow us to provide customers with superior solutions that enable fast CRM implementations in a short, fixed time frame and at a fixed cost.''

HP continues to expand and offer a broad range of services for Oracle environments that enable performance optimization throughout the lifecycle of systems. For example, HP operates Oracle environments for 95 percent of its outsourcing customers. Additional HP Services offerings include support, training and education, and financing.
