Jeffords is toast. He ran supporting the GOP platform just a few months prior to his politically expedient defection.

Jeffords thought Thurmond was gonna die and he wanted to secure power in advance. No one ever accused Jeffords of being principled because he has never been principled. That should enhance his appeal to you.
