In the States of Washington and Oregon, unemployment is already pushing over 7.5%, and when Japan tanks it could get very ugly out here. Boeing is still dumping employees, too.

I agree with your inch by inch assessment.

On real estate I am watching properties sit for much longer on the market, with multiple "price reduced" signs.
