No, of course not. Why would I want to suppress any language? I would prefer that bilingualism become the norm. I wish my grandparents had taught me Yiddish, and I have a good reading knowledge of French, which I am trying to parlay into fluency through greater immersion, this year. I just want everyone to learn English, at least enough to get around.......Whatever your intention, it is not an arbitrary interpretation to take the German you used in that way.......
