Dependency on Arab oil also costs American lives, civilians and military. Plus thinks of teh defence and security costs. A gallon of gas costs us far more than we think.
Typical Bush today telling us this is why we need to drill in alaska. Just the opposite is true. This is why we need to get off oil itself, permanently. And as quickly as humanly possible. It is so wedded to oil he just will not see this no matter what.
