Please specify how Bush has screwed up the ME so badly? I think it's pretty obvious, but perhaps it depends on what you think the US's ME objective is or should be. For simplicity sake, I'll boil it down to two. 1. Let them [Israeli's and Palestinians] slaughter each other and not consider any potential destabilization or negative impacts to the region. Pretend [or believe] that an expanded conflict would have no affect on the US. 2. Recognize that the people of the region see this as a conflict that has been going on for a few thousand years and it could expand to a conflict that has global implications [none of which are good]. To have any hope of controlling it, requires near constant attention. As an observer of the Administration's efforts, it's clear that they have been operating under the former. Reviewing a few conservative editorials and op-ed pieces, it seems that the conservative world endorses such an objective. Consequently, one can only conclude that Bush has been doing an excellent job. [P.S. I only have a short break from a task I'm working on] jttmab
