there was no volume to follow-through after the open

quote.yahoo.com

people have long ago stopped following the market day-to-day
unlike what people on the message boards would have you
think. they've shifted to the balance and value funds,
and away from growth and tech funds. the lack of volume
is a triumph for neither bulls nor bears.

<<So you're saying since the mother of all techs IBM warned and anything after that is nothing? Sounds like everything is priced in right?>> Don't twist my words. My statement stands as written.

since the mother of all techs IBM warned

IBM primarly is a hard drive mnanufacturer and outside service company that sells Wintel priduct.

They are failing at the hardreive division since Western Digital doesn't have any revune shortfall that quarter but exceeded expectations.
I can tell you if you do a good job for the customer, support services pays well and you shouldn't lose money on hardware aka DELL.
The IBM TV ads telling you to buy Linnux on mainframes are clear signs that IBM can not win a pricing war againist DELL hardware and MSFT software licenses sold direct.

They are hosed in my book until their customer base is willing to pay high prices for standard fare like during the Y2K upgrade cycle.
