I don't think Bush is interested in getting Oval Office bjs or fondling interns. Unlikely he'd feel a need to consult that scumbag Clinton with Powell, Cheney, his father and other more credible people to consult with.

The amusing part of that suggestion is by having him in any capacity, even as some random ambassador:

1- he'd get cooperation from M.E. by having a non-warlord involved who's known to pursue non-military solutions

2- He'd get a guaranteed election support from moderates in both parties in '02 and '04, by showing bipartisanship and an almost uprecedented kind of creativity that would drive the small minority of hard-rightists completely nuts.

3- The stock market would reverse course and launch upwards

The problem is:

1- GB Senior is running things and wouldn't consider it

2- The hard right might turn their "Monica" style tactics against him dredging up scandals that would last until doomsday.

3- A better economy and peace in the middle east runs counter to the interests of Bush, Inc. They see greater profit in political and economic terms on the side of warfare and high unemployment, which causes disatisfaction and makes the masses easier to divide and control (per Machiavelli, Goebbels, various US political consultants, etc.).

It won't happen, but it's interesting scenario because even discussing that idea causes sputtering by those who view Clinton as the anti-Christ <g>
