Carl, the subject of the posts from three months ago was potential American public support for an Iraqi invasion. I said that all Bush would need to do to get American public support would be to ask for it. I have not changed my mind on this subject.

In the meantime, the divided mind of the Administration, State vs. Defense, has become more obvious, with several see-saws of policy already. Since I still believe that the military invasion of Iraq does not actually need Arab allies -- the concerns are all diplomatic -- I don't think anyone could rule out a seesaw back the other way. Or do you not believe this is a race against time?
