I knew you were getting complacent about liking me again... So I needed to remind you that I am still my old adorable self. ;-) Poet, this is just common sense. The great, great majority of cases arising against the RC Church are coming from men in their 30's or 40s who are now alleging that they were abused by priests when then they were young boys. There are virtually no allegations coming from women or girls ("virtually no" does not mean that you cannot find one such case here or there). To deny this obvious pattern of crime is to close your eyes to what anyone can see ... in the name of being PC. Now, to find that the priesthood has become heavily gay ... to find that all the accused priests are gay ... and to go on insisting that there is no connection between the two things, is simply utter, blind denial. The longer that this scandal goes on, the more cases that come out of exactly th same nature, the more difficult it will be for persons like yourself to continue the denial. Of course, there is no "data" about the Boy Scouts ... because the Boy Scouts have NOT let their leaders become a predominantly gay group. (I said IF the Boy Scouts had let...)

How many times are we going to have to trot out the data that say that predatory sexual behavior is not linked to homosexuality? Actually, last time we trotted out data on this from many sources, we concluded that predatory behavior is not exclusively linked to homosexuals. But we also noted a homosexual is 10 times more likely to molest a child than a heterosexual, based on the statistics. I remember several of us doing the calculations using data from multiple studies.
