I am not disputing that Sharon "knew" after the fact. That is just competent military intelligence. My question was did he know or should he have known the intent of the Christian militia when he sent them in?

I didn't want to give you a lecture, but it is difficult for me not to see much of the world and its history as "good and bad"(evil is the word I like to use). "Universal compassion" is not the same as embracing deadly enemies. I think Israel's entry into the Oslo Agreements with a deadly enemy was based on their belief that it was the right and compassionate thing to do in dealing with the Palestinian in the West Bank and Gaza. They didn't gain any "peace" with their Arab neighbors or any security
