Norm,

I'm shuddering to think just what exactly "Riverdancing the Full Monty" might mean, but whatever it is, you're probably right. Dowd's made no secret of how crushed he has been by the collapse of the Internet Bubble and the beating Microsoft has taken in its wake.

Dowd doesn't understand the contradiction of defending (and owning a piece of) an anti-free-market monopolist like Microsoft while decrying that free markets are sacrosanct. So to him, capitalists who have profited by shorting the Bubble or buying gold at 40-year lows are a bunch of Communists and Terrorists.

Whatever. I just unloaded my gold fund holdings and half of my USPIX (which shorts the Nasdaq), and am going to hold onto the other half of my USPIX position during the next recessionary dip. If those profits make me a Communist, I guess I don't understand Dowd's creative flavor of capitalism. But I do understand his whiningly childish little pot-shots about how people who disagree with him are "a$$holes" and analogous to private-licking-dogs. I have nothing against the guy for blowing his retirement on a binge of crazy speculation, but he could do it with a little dignity.

Dave

Lest we get graphic.
Where would you like to go today.
It's a new day.
It's a new time change.
Time does not exist.
Even Einstein understood this.
If bill gates can sell 8 billion in stock.
Where does that leave Einstein.
I don't think Einstein would have used windows.
einstein would have used assembly visual studio or something.
