Jonathan:

"Can someone please tell me how April 17 is not a warning date for next quarter with $12 imminent. I do not want to sell but am trying to figure this out. Thanks"

Economy recovering...Mobiles strengthening significantly in the mix...flash bottoming...AMD basing and with product leadership about to expand in q3 and q4, given that stock price discounts future earnings, AMD could move up very rapidly at any positive Hammer news...Certainly AMD won't wait for Hammer's release to move ahead...AMD could begin starting to build momentum anytime...I'd guess that the q2 conference call will mark the first in a series of major Hammer news items that could, if believable, propel AMD to much greater heights...Just not much downside left...Huge upside potential if Hammer meets its hype...Doesn't make sense to me to sell AMD at $14 given the huge upside potential...Hope that helps!!!

You should not be holding the stock unless you are ready to ride out (or even buy more shares) at the recent lows of $7 and change. To maintain my sanity, I always leave myself enough depth (buying power) to find a silver lining in most horrible lows. It is like piloting an airplane through the storm instead of getting sick to your stomach in the passenger seat.

Jon, Re: Can someone please tell me how April 17 is not a warning date for next quarter with $12 imminent.

Either they will be warning later (if Jerry feels optimistic) or there is something we don't know of (e.g. imminent XP2200+ or Thoroughbred launch). A pick up in demand would also help but historical Q2 is the weakest quarter of the year.
