Thanks...I just looked @ the preliminary program...looks interesting, but the real good stuff(if any) could come from the abstracts or when they solidify the speakers. I think GT is legit, just the Pharmas probably think it is too premature to start buying everyone out. If there are a few more success stories like Alain Fischer's SCID experiments, and the munching will become more apparent...I would imagine that some of the biotech VC firms out their are backed by Pharma $$$. My guess is they're following the technology closely, waiting to see which vector works the best...then I'd look @ gene regulation.

I forgot to mention that I can't remember the sensitivity of lac z... I chose to use gfp instead, as I didn't have to kill the cells to view my results, so I could use the same cells @ different time points....bwdik?
