Why don't you address these concerns to the Palestinians, before they resume their campaign of suicide bombers?

Oh, unfortunately, they will do just that. And obviously it's not a matter of what either of us says to whomsoever. Your point is that the moral onus lies on the Palestinians. But I'm not talking about moral onus, I'm talking about the consequences of one set of acts. Sharon's policies are costing the Israelis dearly, I'm afraid, and those costs will be with them for quite a long time. A cease fire now will help but not much for that long term vulnerability.

Presumably, part of Sharon's goal is to assume the Palestinians will remain a very hostile neighbor so that involves creating a kind of fortress state for Israel. One of the problems with that is it does serious harm to the internal state of Israeli economy and its polity.
