I look at a few things. I look at the P&F chart, I look at the candlestick chart, I look at RSI, MACD, 50 and 200dma. I look at whether or not they have earnings. I look at short interest. I look at earnings release date. And I do a quick glance at any company specific news. I have it so that I can do all of that in a pretty quick glance. I use Stockcharts.com Stock Scans to find different patterns and then just click on the different types of charts. I don't necessarily start with P&F, but I always look at P&F. I really don't look at options expiration too much.
