Somebody must have suddenly discovered that SBC, BLS, VZ have the same (or greater) debt load than WCOM for example. Either that or now that there isn't much left to lie crook and thieve out of Q, T, WCOM and the others; attention has turned to destroying the baby bells.

Doesn't that usually indicate nearing a sentiment turn? Not much telco left to puke after they get finished with SBC, BLS, VZ.

Or maybe its becomming apparent that the baby bells stalled around so long on dsl deployment that they shot themselves in the foot. People dumping second phone line in favor of cable broadband? People dumping land lines in favor of 100% cell phone? All are bad for the baby bells who still seem to think its year 1990.
