<<Do you want to revise your marketing campaign when, the peak data rates go to 153 kbps, to 307 kbps, to 2.4 Mbps, and even higher?>>

QCOM needs to tell the consumer about the new product that is out there today:

Wireless Web faster than home ISPs

Now you tell me which of these will explain the statement above the best?

a) Qualcomm Inside
b) 1X
c) CDMA2000
d) Wireless 144K or SprintPCS 144K
e) Wireless surfing faster than AOL

It is unfortunate that when it comes to fast wireless data, until today, 1X has not been able to distinguish itself from products like GPRS, EDGE, or W-CDMA. Korea works because CDMA is the only business in town and the consumer is going to get 1X whether he/she likes it or not. But here in the US people have choices but they don't know the right product to choose. As much as I have told my wife about QCOM, SPRINT, and Verizon, she still likes her AT&T phone.

Now imagine if companies like AT&T were promoting 1X or CDMA2000. Companies like Nokia and DOCOMO would have been spending billions on their add campaigns.

Lets face it, QCOM's marketing strategy really sucks.
