Re: BTW, will Colin Powell make his required visit to Yad Vashem to lay a wreath and keep the con going?

Well... if anything, Powell's visit to Israel might be his last trip ever... Either the Judeofascists are gonna snuff him out (together with Arafat in the Ramallah compound) or they'll take on President G.W. Bush himself. The latter option is the most likely since it'd bring Cheney into the big chair and set US policy on a whole another course of actions. Meanwhile, security of both Powell and Bush should be tightened --and retaliatory measures by US hitmen should be scheduled... Here's Sharon's veiled yet unambiguous threat against the US leadership:

Sharon: Powell-Arafat meeting would be tragic mistake
By Herb Keinon

JERUSALEM (April 10)
- Prime Minister Ariel Sharon sounded defiant yesterday, despite mounting US pressure to continue withdrawing from Palestinian cities. While the US is worrying about its regional considerations, Sharon said, Israel is burying its dead.

"We understand the US has problems in the region, and we are trying to assist to the best of our ability," Sharon told a visiting United Jewish Communities solidarity mission. "But while they have problems, we have funerals."

Sharon termed US Secretary of State Colin Powell's intention to meet Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat a "tragic mistake" that will only encourage more terrorism.

Powell, who originally was slated to arrive on Friday, is now expected tomorrow night.

Sharon is to convene the security cabinet today in preparation for Powell's visit.

A senior official in the Prime Minister's Office, referring to the US pressure to withdraw, said, "In those areas and issues where we can help and assist the US, we will be more than willing to do so, and where we can't, we won't."

"It was a tough campaign, a campaign we are continuing... until we fulfill the decision of the cabinet calling for the destruction of the infrastructure of the terrorist groups," Sharon said.

A high-ranking diplomatic official said Israel will try to find a way to balance its vital interest - the security of its citizens - with its interest of maintaining close coordination with the US. "But even small states have a difficult time conceding vital interests," he said.

Nonetheless, the IDF - which pulled out of Tulkarm and Kalkilya yesterday - is expected to withdraw from a number of other Palestinian cities and towns before Powell's arrival.

"We have stated clearly we will expedite the pullback where it is clear an IDF pullback won't lead to risks to our security," the Prime Minister's Office source said. "In places where we feel we have dismantled the terrorist infrastructure and arrested the men we were looking for, we will pull back. This could be in a village or in a city."

The official said the US, which has shown a preference for trying to build wide coalitions, is trying to patch together a coalition of Arab countries willing to speak with one clear voice against suicide bombers.

"This would pressure Arafat," the official said. He added, however, that such a coalition is unlikely, as the Arab leaders distinguish between "good and bad terrorism" and do not view Palestinian violence as terrorism.

While extracting some kind of declaration against terrorism from Arafat seems the best Powell can hope to get from the PA, Jerusalem is bracing for a number of requests from Powell - ranging from a possible call for an immediate settlement freeze to the possibility he will broach the idea of some kind of observer force led by the US.

The idea of an international peace parley along the Madrid model is also expected to come up as a long-term goal, though in the short term some formula is still needed to end the violence.

Bracing for US pressure, the Prime Minister's Office issued a statement saying Israel views the Powell visit as significant and hopes "it will result in an understanding that through the use of terrorism nothing can be achieved, as the past year and a half demonstrated."

"This man [Arafat] has already declared a cease-fire numerous times, and even signed one at one point," the statement read. "But all he produced was terrorism, terrorism, and more terrorism."

Ma'ariv Israel daily reports: The Incitement That Raised the Generation of Suicide Terrorists

Introduction:
An important article in Ma'ariv, expresses strong criticism of Israeli government Ministers for ignoring PMW material sent to them over the last few years, and cites numerous examples, showing the systematic hatred, all exposed by PMW, that is inherent to Palestinian society. The following are excerpts from the article.

"The Incitement that Raised the Generation of Suicide [Terrorists] The Palestinian's Hatred of Israel is Directly Controlled by the [Palestinian] Authority and by Yasser Arafat" by Eli Kamir, Ma'ariv, April 2, 2002

Over the last few years, [PMW director] Itamar Marcus has sent tens, if not hundreds, of letters to Israeli government Ministers. "Attached pleases find" he would write them, "a new study, with many examples from the Palestinian media. Note what is going on there. This must be addressed now."

There is hardly a field that Marcus has not covered in his research: articles, caricatures, crosswords, schoolbooks, poems, mosque sermons. The common denominator: preaching hatred and destruction of Israel, portraying the Jew as a bloodthirsty murderer, Israeli soldiers as monsters, the Prime Minister as a child-killer, Israeli cities including those inside the Green Line as Arab towns, and relating Islam's commandment to kill Jews as part of the holy War over Jerusalem.

Most of the government Ministers had, for years, considered Marcus an annoyance: an eccentric who insists, in the days of the peace process, to focus on the unimportant, on the past. Those who did respond to him dismissed Marcus with the promise that only once a permanent status agreement is made with the Palestinians will they be able to avail
themselves to the next phase: [stopping the] educating to hatred, incitement to kill Jews.

"Now everyone is surprised how we reached this situation" said Marcus this week "The writing on the wall has been too big to miss. How can peace be achieved when education is for war? Who will agree to compromise with us while being incessantly urged to kill us?..."

More and more are currently in agreement that Israel has been snoozing on the watch. Snoozing? more like snoring away; closed her eyes, plugged her ears, and even when warned, preferred to ignore the lava of Palestinian hatred. "It'll be okay," said Israel, "in the end it'll be okay."

The fact, however, is that the hatred, the willingness of hundreds of youths to commit suicide just in order to kill Jews, the willingness to take two Israelis who made a wrong turn, barbarically lynch them and immerse their hands in their blood is much beyond being the product of military conflict, economic distress or political despair. This is an ingrained, deep-rooted and burning hatred. Its foundations were laid by dozens of textbooks, caricatures, films, and daily propaganda presented for years in the official Palestinian Authority media.

The grand paradox is that it was the Oslo Accords, which were supposed to break down the barriers between the nations, to build a reality of trust and mutual respect so that the nations could live side by side, produced exactly the opposite. The [Palestinian] Authority officials found themselves free to control the hand that rocks the educational cradle and so along with mothers' milk the Palestinian child drank large portions of pure poison for their Israeli neighbors.

The generation of Palestinian suicide [terrorists] is a new generation. This is a generation whose principal acquaintance with Israel is through the eyes of the fundamentalist preachers, the anti-Semitic undercurrents of the caricatures, the virulent headlines in the media and the manipulations of the kindergarten and schoolteachers. All these, one way or another, are directly subordinate to the Palestinian Authority, to Yasser Arafat.

The heads of the Authority did nothing to stop this. Quite the opposite. Throughout the years they preferred to roll their eyes and play a double game: talk peace, but broadcast and preach war. When facing the world - relate to the Jew as a neighbor and partner, but at the same time to call upon their own to eradicate him and to blame him for destroying that which is holy to Islam.

Israeli analysts explain today that Arafat, guided by his own strategic point of view, sought to transform a populace that maintained, in part, routine relations with Israel and even aspired to duplicate Israeli democracy, into an hostile, hate-driven populace which, when the time came, could be directed to harsh violence against Israeli society....

From his early childhood the Palestinian child enters an organized system which constructs in him a deep hatred towards anything having to do with Israel or with Jews. Examples? There are dozens. Here's one: a selection
from an official Palestinian Authority Teachers' Guide for history directing their work:

"The student," it reads, "will compare the foundations of fascism and nazism to the foundations of Zionism. The student will acquire the following study guidelines: Zionism is a racist, aggressive movement, the sense of racial superiority is the essence of Zionism, fascism and Nazism..."

"The commandments of their Torah say that we are goyim, that is, non-Jews, [they] view all non-Jews as barbarian or as their servants, void of any human rights, and [one] may destroy them and may kill them."

[Palestinian Authority TV March 2, 2001]

...A short while before the current violence, in the days following [the Barak-Arafat-Clinton summit at] Camp David, the official Palestinian Authority TV broadcast the sermon of Sheikh Youssuf Abu Sneinah, the official preacher at the Al-Aqza mosque: "The Islamic Land of Palestine is one and cannot be divided. There is no difference between Haifa and Nablus, Lod and Ramallah, Jerusalem and Nazareth or Gaza and Ashkelon. Palestine is Wakf land that belongs to Muslims throughout the world and no one has the right to give it up or to forsake it. Whoever does this is a traitor to the trust and is nothing but a loathsome criminal whose end shall be in hell."

About a year ago, a Palestinian terrorist killed an Israeli [Army] officer south of Jerusalem and then was killed. The IDF did not give his body to the Palestinian Authority for 12 days. The Palestinian press had an explanation for this delay: "The Israelis pulled out his eyes, severed his fingers, tore out his nails, stole his organs and scorched him with electricity" they wrote.

...Last August, the TV broadcast a sermon of Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Maadi, live: "A youth said to me: Oh, Sheikh, I am 14 years old. I have 4 more years and then I will blow myself up among Allah's enemies, I will blow myself up among the Jews. I told him: Allah should let you merit Martyrdom.

"We will enter Jerusalem as conquerors, and Jaffa as conquerors, and Haifa as conquerors and Ashkelon as conquerors, we are certain that the victory is quickly coming.. we bless all those who educate their children to Jihad and to Martyrdom, blessings to he who saves a bullet in order to shoot it into a head of a Jew..."

In a different portion of the sermon, he says: "Allah shall make the Moslem subjugate the Jew. We will blow them up in Hadera, we will blow them up in Tel-Aviv and in Netanya in Allah's righteousness against this riff-raff... we will fight against them and rule over them until the Jew will hide behind the trees and stones and the tree and stone will say: 'Moslem! Servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, kill him'."

One Must Slaughter the Jews

In a special study that examined the incitement in mosques, Itamar Marcus found that there is a direct, unequivocal correlation between the cruel acts of murder carried out by Palestinians to the preaching of the religious leaders, televised on the official Palestinian Authority TV.

Numerous examples from the TV calling to kill Jews were broadcast before the outbreak of the current iolence. "This proves," says Marcus, "that the inciteful sermons provided the basis for the murders, and were not a response, following the outbreak."

One part of Marcus' research discusses quotes of an eternal war of Moslem against Jew, stressing that all the agreements are only temporary. "We are the nation of Palestine," says the preacher on TV, "our fate from Allah is to be the vanguard in the war against the Jews until Resurrection . As the prophet Muhammad said: The Day of Resurrection will not arrive until the Muslims make war against the Jews and kill them."

And in an additional sermon Dr. Youssuf Abu Halebiyeh, a member of the Palestinian Sharia [Islamic Law] Rulings Council, addresses the Palestinian public, saying: "The Jews are the Jews. There never was among them a supporter of peace. They are all liars, the true criminals, the Jewish terrorists, that slaughtered our children, that turned our wives into widows and our children into orphans, and desecrated our holy places. They are terrorists. Therefore," continues the preacher to rouse his listeners, "it is necessary to slaughter them and murder them, according to the words of Allah. it is forbidden to have mercy in your hearts for the Jews in any place and in any land. Make war on them anyplace that you find yourself. Any place that you meet them kill them. Kill the Jews and those among the Americans that are like them."

>>Just today, in Isra-El, there was a moment of silence with sirens to remind the world that they owe us.<<

That is beneath you to say that. The moment of silence is to remember the murder of 6 million Jews in WW2. It has nothing to do with "reminding the world owes us" as you say. Its to remember people who were shivering naked before being machined gunned into pits, or childrens souls who went out the chimney. There are no graves for those murdered, and a moment of silence to remember them is appropriate for relatives who received no burial, albeit by bullet, gas, or worse. What you said is a disgusting twist of a deep moment of sorrow.
