Mishnah--Abodah Zarah

The daughter of an Israelite may not assist a gentile woman in childbirth since she would be assisting to bring to birth a child for idolatry, but a gentile woman may assist the daughter of an Israelite. The daughter of an Israelite may not suckle the child of a gentile woman, but a gentile woman may suckle the child of the daughter of an Israelite in this one's domain

The question was NOT whether or not there was any neutral language in the bible...it was whether or not there was any racist sentiment. Have you forgotten the question?

In the biblical myth, Abraham does become the father of many nations. But were they treated as racial equals? Are the descendants of Ishmael racial equals? Were the Midiamites racial equals? Were the Edomites racial equals?

When Sarah askd her husband to sleep with their Egyptian maid (Hagar) so that they could have a child (Ishmael), that was well and good. The angel said (after Hagar had ran away from the harsh treatment from Sarah), that Ishmael would dwell undisturbed among all his brothers (Genesis 16,12). Is this happening?

If your scriptual sops to racial equality are other than pretense...then why are the children of Ismael being killed? Why are they not being invited to occupy the land of their brothers?? Why not simply say: "We are all children of Abraham. We are all Jews?? Why is there a difference with the seed of Ishmael?

You know very well that Judaism is ONLY about the seed of Isaac. They are the "Chosen People"...not the seed which went through Keturah to the Edomites or Mediamites; not the seed of Ishmael or the Arab nations. Why do you try to strip Judaism of its meaning? Why do you degrade the special covenant? You speak as if you know nothing about what it means to have the special covenant.

Let us look at Exodus 19...

Do you understand any of this? Do you understand that Judaism is about Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? Do you understand that Judaism is about the 12 tribes of Israel? Do you think the Jewish bible had to do with the children of Keturah other than as genocide? Do you think that Judaism is about the children of Ishmael--Iran (partly), Iraq, Egypt, and the rest?

19:1
In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

19:2
For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

19:3
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

19:4
Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

19:5
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

19:6
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

19:7
And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

19:8
And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

19:9
And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

19:10
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,

19:11
And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

19:12
And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:

19:13
There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

19:14
And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

19:15
And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

19:16
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

19:17
And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

19:18
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

19:19
And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

19:20
And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

19:21
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

19:22
And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

19:23
And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.

19:24
And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

19:25
So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

Why is conversion to Judaism so extremely difficult if you are not of Jewish BLOOD; whereas, if your mother is a Jew, then so are you, and you are beloved of God, even though you may be unworthy (Jeremiah)?? How can blood make someone worthy of God, while gentiles need to pass tests and councils to become a Jew--and thus valued by God??

And I remind you of what you already know: you and I are not discussing any other mythos. We are discussing the Jewish bible.

Your silly tagging of Genesis simply digs you in deeper. If you are implying that Abraham's bequeathal of his seed is equivalent to racial equality, then you are ignoring most of the Old Testament.

I asked you not to pursue this, but you are insisting on grandstanding on falsehoods, so you have made your choice. Again, I would ask you to reconsider what you are doing.

Here God recites some of the special treatment He has given His special nation. He explains that He has taken them out of the midst of other nations because He regards them as special. He has chosen to favour the seed of Jacob over all other nations. He will drive out other nations and He will give the land to the nation of Israel.

Deuteronomy

4:32
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

4:33
Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

4:34
Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

4:35
Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.

4:36
Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

4:37
And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;

4:38
To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

Here God speaks of a NEW covenant with the house of ISRAEL. He will write the Law into their hearts and "they shall be my (GOD'S) people". They will be born as His people...as they are today. If anyone else wishes to achieve racial equality and eternal life, he must convert to Judaism. Judaism does not recognise the New Testament, nor the redemption of Christ.

Jeremiah

31:31
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Heb.8:9
31:32
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

31:33
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

31:34
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

31:35
Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

31:36
If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

31:37
Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

And here is where God takes the Midianites of Abraham's wife, Keturah, out of the equation (we will ignore the fact that the bible contradicts itself on this). So much for THAT nation. Racial equality?? How about the Edomites from Keturah? Racial equality??

And note that not a single man is killed in battle from the Nation of Israel: NOT A SINGLE PERSON! Racial impartiality?

Numbers

31:28
And levy a tribute unto the Lord of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

31:29
Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

31:30
And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

31:31
And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

31:32
And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,

31:33
And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,

31:34
And threescore and one thousand asses,

31:35
And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.

31:36
And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:

31:37
And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.

31:38
And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.

31:39
And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.

31:40
And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was thirty and two persons.

31:41
And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

31:42
And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,

31:43
(Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,

31:44
And thirty and six thousand beeves,

31:45
And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,

31:46
And sixteen thousand persons;)

31:47
Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

31:48
And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:

31:49
And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
