Richard,
My belief is that the right of return issue is negotiable and could ultimately involve a symbolic return perhaps in return for allowing contiguous settlements to remain in a land exchange scenario discussed at camp david. Saudi emissaries said they were talking largely about the right of refugees outside of Palestine in other arab lands to return to the west bank and gaza. So there is some wiggle room. Key to peace for me is that palestinaian attention needs to be diverted to nation building and that involves new non-arafat leadership for them imo. mike
PS OOPS too off to offtopic thread again.

OT Saudi Dividend

Looks like our expensive pro-Saudi foreign policy is paying a dividend today as the Kingdom is saying today that they will use their spare production capability to help stabilize the price of oil.
