I assume before a pedophile or Condit like candidate are elected their disqualifications to fill the job of chief executive would be revealed in the campaign. Therefore, they would never be elected to the office. Pres Clinton's shortcomings were revealed somewhat before the election & he still managed to become chief exec. Therefore, the American people received the calibre of Pres they deserved. Hopefully, they'll be more particular in elections in the future. BTW, if you were assuming I'm a "contemporary Democrat".....I'm not....at least have not been since Pres Reagan's 2nd term.
