Population stagnation....

If members of a population only have two children...

If they have two children and that couple lives to be 76 (assuming a national average of U.S. and Israel- two highly developed countries with the largest Jewish population) years of age and they have children, on average, at the age of 25, and they, in turn, have two children you still get an increase. The life expectancy keeps getting higher thereby adding to the population. ZPG is never immediate unless you have a negative birth rate but that is what the Jewish population has done for the last 30 years. Strange.
