Dear CJ: Mrs. Lay makes me want to take out the world's tiniest violin and play, "My heart bleeds for you."

Mc Donalds??? That's too good for her. Make her get a job where she still has to pay for all her meals. At McDonald's she'd get a free meal during her shift.

I was thinking more along the lines of *the* worst two jobs I can personally think of: Greeter at Wal-Mart or cleaning toilets in the Port Authority public rest rooms.

Regards,

Lynn

The thing I found most galling about her performance was the fact that she said all their homes were up for sale, and the next day an investigative reporter turned up 10 houses they owned that weren't up for sale.
Not to mention that their home in Texas can't be touched based on BK laws there (a home worth $$$MMMM).

I was sympathetic to Lay at first, because I do realize that the CEO is often out of touch and doesn't see everything that is going on. Then I read some of those documents they released and realized how heavily involved he was. Asshole. And for that whistle blowing woman (I forget her name) who said "I still think he has integrity" - Well, I respect her for her stance, but really...INTEGRITY?

Skilling I have mixed feelings on. His signature isn't on any of the documents that created the holding companies that lost money. He apparently opposed them, so they were created in such a manner that they could avoid needing his signature to create them. I'm sure he was aware of them and did nothing, but at least he had the presence of mind to oppose their creation.
I'm not sure that is a mitigating circumstance, but for that whistle-blower to point fingers at him while trying to wipe Lay's slate clean is really too much.

Fastow should be shot, his organs sold, his holdings auctioned, and the money used to compensate some of the people who lost their 401(k)s. Maybe that's a little extreme, but I can't see much in the way of rehabilitation for a asshole like him.
