By guns and dope, I meant that that is the public perception. They've done a lousy job articulating their message. I was involved with the party at the local level in the early 90s and I found them to be good people, most of them sane and rational. And most of them are well educated. My only complaint was they got bogged down too much in Robert's Rules of Order at their meetings. The national LP however, has been taken over by hustlers and direct mail bunco artists.
