Carl-- I agree.

"Springdale" at this juncture (and for the intended audience of such briefings) just refers to a generation of P-4 chipsets, probably sharing a common southbridge. But they would have to have completely different memory controllers, and no doubt different "i8xx" designators.

Like you said - Springdale is a code name...

So Intel is allowed to use it to cover whatever it wants - which could be a multitude of sins of both omission and
commission :)
