Flarion Launches Asia-Pacific Operations in Korea

Mobile Data and Internet Expert, 'H.J' Kim, Joins Flarion Technologies as Vice President and General Manager of Asia-Pacific Operations

BEDMINSTER, N.J. (January 8, 2002) - - Flarion Technologies, the inventor of the flash-OFDM™ mobile communications system for end-to-end Internet Protocol (IP)-based mobile broadband networks, today announced the official launch of its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Seoul, Korea, with the appointment of Hong Jin ('H.J') Kim as Vice President and General Manager of Flarion Asia-Pacific. With today's announcement, Flarion's flash-OFDM is making the migration from North America to some of the world's most technologically advanced mobile operators in the world.

"We are very pleased to have H.J. Kim join the Flarion team as our first general manager of our operations in Asia-Pacific," said Mike Gallagher, Vice President of Worldwide Sales with Flarion Technologies. "We made a deliberate choice to set up our headquarters in Seoul. Korea is part of an exclusive group of countries that are in the forefront of defining the mobile Internet, where flash-OFDM plays an important role."

Mr. Kim, as the Vice President of Sales and General Manager of Asia-Pacific operations, leads all aspects of Flarion's customer engagements, sales and marketing in Korea and the growing field sales organization in Asia-Pacific. Previously, Mr. Kim held general manager and country manager positions with several leading data and telecommunications vendors, including companies such as Lucent Technologies, Ascend (since acquired by Lucent) and Stratus Computer, Inc. Mr. Kim is formerly an officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force and holds a B.A. in Physics from Seoul National University.

The flash-OFDM technology offers the capability of up to 3Mbps per second connection speeds, and Quality of Service (QoS) for tiered class-of-service, delivering mobile operators with the ability to offer profitable mobile data services to mass-market and enterprise customers.
With flash-OFDM, the desktop experience is mobilized with 'always on' connectivity to any laptop, personal digital assistant (PDA) or other IP-enabled device with the simple add-on of a flash-OFDM PC card, without requiring any changes to the IP protocol, applications, devices, or content. Flarion's flash-OFDM technology allows the Internet to move at the cellular edge of any IP network. See more about Flarion Technologies at www.flarion.com

Btw, one skill is how to connect words, sometimes leaving it somewhat difficult to be sure how they
are connected.

Anyway, how much UK area does 4,000 circles with a radius of 300 feet cover, no walls allowed??

sqrt(4,000) = appr 60, like 60x60, skipping the pi.

Ilmarinen

2-3-4G and WLAN obviously are kind of cooperatively hierarchical.
