zetazeta - I believe they will go directly to digital........same as telephone service in undeveloped countries........why build a legacy infrastructure that is already outdated.........even in the U.S. there are now many households that don't have a hard-wired phone in the house........and the infrastructure is there. Photo processing labs are expensive to build and maintain........ you can process digital photos yourself.
