I swore I would NEVER again have anything to do with ATT. A few months back, I found over $300 in charges that I knew I wasn't responsible for. I have DSL and they claimed my computer was dialing a number in another state. PacBell even got involved and said it was impossible for my computer to be dialing a long distance number but they insisted anyway. So now they're threatening to go after my credit rating if I don't pay them. It's not worth getting involved with them.

SBC has the worst tech support in my experience. Whenever given the opportunity to use somebody else's services, I will do it.

I see that the McKie family has had different experiences with SBC...hmmmmm

If I had a choice, I wouldn't let ATT into my house.

In fact, I wouldn't let ATT clean up after my dogs.

Query: What will be left of ATT in any event once Comcast acquires their broadband service? Will Comcast be the long distance provider at that time?

If you have Costco where you live, sign up with them for long distance. $0.065 per minute, no monthly charge. I believe the service is provided through HandsOn's favorite company, and I've never had a problem with them in the 6 months I've been using the service.
