Re: "You pork peddlers actually should be DEMANDING tax cuts." The offending word in the above sentence is "you" ... as in being synonymous with the Democratic Party. If you want to talk serious pork, take a look at escalating federal spending under GWB; take a look at the escalating military budget; take a look at how much pork Trent Lott has brought to the state of Mississippi through submarine-building contracts and the like ... even overriding Pentagon recommendations. The biggest difference between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party is not in spending ... both parties like to spend money ... it's in the payment system. The Democrats think we ought to pay as we go. The Republicans think that we ought to pass on the debt to our children and grandchildren through the principle of "cut taxes and spend."
