Andre,

Nice volume on Friday. At least we can see how to spell Mr Roy's name. i.e. Michel not Michelle. Amazing how a News Relase/Update like that can generate so much of a following.

Gotta love the last line of this latest PR, C'est bon Michel:

<<"Management is unware of any material changes that could explain the increased volume of transactions.">>

Canada: ECU - ECU Silver Mining Inc (from Canada Stockwatch)
Close prices: High Low Close Chg Volume
20020524 V 0.10 0.07 0.09 +0.02 4,170,800
20020523 V 0.08 0.06 0.07 +0.01 2,030,200
20020522 V 0.07 0.06 0.06 0.00 591,300
20020521 V 0.06 0.04 0.06 +0.01 504,788

Pretty significant increments in volume and price(to a lesser extent). If it could only attain half of what it did in the last cycle, I would consider this to be an excellent bet/play (on my part anyway). But do your own DD.

ECU Silver Mining to begin operating rented mill

Fri 24 May 2002 News Release
Mr. Michel Roy reports

ECU Silver Mining will complete the preparation of its rented mill this
week and plans to start operating the mill next week, starting at 100
tonnes per day to reach the normal operating level of 200 tonnes per day
within a week. At the La Esperanza project, the vein is being developed on
the first level and was reached on the second level. Development work,
before opening the second level along the vein, will be completed early
next week. No assays are available at this time but the crosscut entered
the vein at the same location as a previous drill hole (hole 104 from the
first drilling campaign by Minera Hecla) that cut a true width section of
three meters grading 13.75 grams per tonne gold and 508.4 grams per tonne
silver. The position of the hole was observed underground.

In early May, Minera Hecla processed 1,874 tonnes grading 3.87 grams per
tonne gold and 151 grams per tonne silver at their mill in Velardena. This
material came from bulk mining in the open pit and the grades were as
expected.

The financing reported in Stockwatch on April 10, 2002, should be completed
in the first half of June. Management is unware of any material changes
that could explain the increased volume of transactions.
