Do you suppose that SSB is now day trading those stocks? Wasn't it last week or late the week before that the self-same SSB upgraded their target prices for those stocks?

I think there is a lot of maneuvering going on right now Don. Color me skeptical of analysts recommendations in general. Especially those based on technical merits. It's too early in an economic recovery to be chasing most any kind of technology stocks. But most of us have been doing just that instead of placing bigger bets on cyclical stocks. Even retail stocks have been doing quite well lately. But we stick with the tech stocks because they were the biggest winners in the 90's. Maybe they will be again. Still... I don't know about you but I'm tired of being told to chase a stock when it is moving higher only to get a downgrade when it sells off a bit on... A TECHNICAL BASIS What happened to buy low sell high? What's with these analysts! They never seem to get it right but they are always ready with a reason to buy or sell on the day they issue their recommendations. So they downgrade the same stock they recommended higher when it's lower? What's worse is that once the stock starts moving higher again with vigor as it probably will again in the next few weeks they will upgrade it again at yet another short term top. Something is rotten in Stockmark. RtS
