The sympathetic treatment was obvious The sympathetic treatment was obvious for Andrea Yates, too. You are as mistaken about American sympathies as about the absurd parallels you keep drawing for Israel -- Israel is Britian & Ireland, Israel is Algeria, Israel is Vietnam, blah, blah. Polls show American sympathies as being pro-Israel by more than 5 to 1. As for Iraq, we'll see where we are by year's end. My personal bet is that Bush does not intend to be hamstrung by a bunch of Eurocrats and Arab dictators.
