the yields are nice but most of the shares look like they've been on a tear the last month. also, i don't understand why MAA, for example, has a yield of 8.83 and yet the PE is almost 34. i guess there are some writedowns? if FFO is sufficiently above these payouts in the 8% range, it sounds pretty good to me...
for some of them, the insider purchases seem to be pretty small amounts (150 shares or so).
