The Governor's Mansion is the most elegant building in Juneau, with the possible exception of our house which is a fifth the size. I've been in it several times but always in the huge crowd that the Governor has over for cookies and punch at Christmas time. You have really got my curiosity up, Ray. Sheffield was some time back; I'll have to get my Bush Rat Governor book out to research him. What did you contribute to the Governor's Mansion? The columns? The totems? The woodwork? Staircase? Display cases? You'll be glad to know the Mansion was renovated a couple of years back and is highly prized in Juneau.
