last week's Jobless claims revised up..eek. 08:32 ET Jobless Claims fall 55K to 438K; near expectations Jobless Claims fell 55K to 438K, with the prior week revised substantially higher to 493K from 460K; though higher than the 425K consensus, the sharp decline will sustain the market's assumption that this recent spike is temporary and due to new filings for extended benefits, rather than due to new layoffs.
