both Hitler and Stalin were monsters, no doubt about it, but that was not the point of argument.
They were "independantly" evil :-)) and viewed each other as enemies, that is hardly an alliance.

I agree it wasn't quite an alliance, but it was more then a peace treaty. There was some cooperation between the two countries. For example the Soviets allowed the Germans to do some training in the Soviet Union before the war.
