AMD Announces 16-City `Team AMD Tech Tour' for North American System Builders
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 11, 2002--AMD (NYSE:AMD - news) today announced the spring Team AMD Tech Tour lineup, a series of seminars throughout North America set to begin April 16 in Detroit. The program is designed to share AMD's latest technology as well as help system builders gain additional success in the white box PC market.
``The Team AMD Tech Tour is one of the ways in which AMD helps our system builders reach their sales goals in the marketplace,'' said Robert Fuller, director of North America Field Marketing for AMD. ``We'll bring our innovative technology, and that of our hardware and software partners, to 16 cities in the United States and Canada. The program is designed to allow AMD to collaborate with its system builder partners on developing and delivering solutions to their customers.''
Each seminar will include breakout sessions on new technology and sales techniques that can help AMD's system builder partners work with their customers. Attendees at each seminar will have an opportunity to talk one-on-one with representatives from different companies at an AMD-hosted vendor showcase.
