Jerome, Unfortunately Netanyahu and an all right wing govt awaits if sharon slips up. Israelis concerned with survival now. Sharon getting as popular as arafat--arafat the martyr; sharon the fighter. I think only a US/Nato force can separate the combatants, get a no-terror pledge from arafat and attempt to stop hamas terror. Combine that with an immediate declaration of a palestine state(saudi plan as basis) with arafat as titular head with elections soon thereafter plus the infusion of billions of us/western/saudi dollars(with safeguards so the money doesnt wind up ill used) and maybe this war will stop. Jacob says pie in the sky. I say the other alternative is just too scary to contemplate as strapon bombers appear in the US. mike
