16:16 ET Juniper Networks reports in line Q1 results (JNPR) 10.34 -0.54: Reports Q1 net of $0.00 a share, in line with the Multex consensus, vs yr-ago EPS of $0.25. Revenues plunged 63% to $122.2 mln (consensus $122.06 mln).

16:16 ET RSA Security misses estimates; updates guidance (RSAS) 7.23 -0.56: Company reports Q1 net loss of $0.11 per share, $0.01 worse than the consensus estimate; Q1 revenues came in at $55.5 mln vs the consensus estimate of $55.4 mln; company rescinds the guidance provided in its January 24, 2002 press release and conference call; expects sequentially flat to slightly increased revenue for the second quarter; sees Q2 net loss of $0.04-$0.06 per share versus the current consensus estimate for a net loss of $0.05 per share.

16:15 ET VISX beats Q1 estimates (EYE) 16.77 -0.73: Reports Q1 EPS of $0.12, $0.01 better than the Multex consensus; revs were $36.6 mln, vs consensus of $35.6 mln.

Joe- looking at after hours, that may not have been a bad idea.. sorry I missed the initial drop.. This is one crowded short and the report was really not that bad..In fact, I think most people expected worse.. If we dont hear a negative peep out of Cisco, theres going to be alot of people running for the exits..

Funny how everyone is so eager to but the likes of LU, or even WCOM and yet they will short JNPR in a heartbeat.. ?
