JNPR says: flat earnings, flat sales, going forward.

You mean, for the next Q - correct? After that, they have no visibility. And this is apparently positive since jnpr is up ah.... on the premise that we are in the trough. Also their book-to-bill is over 1 now.

JNPR has other problems though...
C.E. Unterberg Towbin analyst Martin Pyykkonen expressed concern about Juniper's competitive positioning. He noted that Juniper received a contract this week from Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (P.SGT) to supply network edge routers. At the same time, SingTel chose to buy core routers from Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO), Juniper's biggest rival.

"I'm still comfortable with Juniper's competitive position overall, but it's worth noting they actually lost a core piece of business," Pyykkonen said.
